Partners' meeting--Organizing the project's agenda
On March 9th 2019 Chryssa Lazou (Project Leader) and Effie Bilimbini (Project Participant) met to discuss about the project and work on the agenda of activities. It was a very productive meeting of a joint venture of two alumni in Northern Greece!
May 2019
On May 19th 2019 we held a meeting with the English Language Specialist from the US Embassy in Athens, Ms Markella Karagiorga, presenting our ideas and plans for the successful implementation of the project. Ms Karagiorga expressed her interest in supporting the implementation of further projects and events in the future.
October 2019
On October 20th 2019 we were invited by the US Public Affairs Counselor, Ms Cynthia Harvey, to present and share experiences from our so far progress in the project. She visited our blog and Facebook page and got enthusiastic with the activities developed. The Counselor expressed her interest in helping to further communicate the results of the project and support our future plans for its sustainability. She wishes to be able to accept our invitation and be in Kavala for our two-day event held in February 2020.
December 2019
MeLi team was honoured to receive their certificates of participating in the program by U. S. Consul General in Thessaloniki, Gregory Pfleger. The Consul General stressed the importance of media literacy abd critical thinking for responsible and active citizenship and expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful outcomes of the program. MeLi team was thrilled with the chancw to visit the premises of the Consulate and meet the Consul!
